How Do I Chat With a Character I Made on RolePlaya?

The short answer: go to your profile page, find the character in your Public or Private tab, open it and tap Chat. Private characters are only visible to you, so the profile page is where you find them. Once you have chatted, the character also appears in your conversations list.

Step by step

Open your profile page from the person icon in the bottom bar on mobile or the menu on a computer.
Choose the Public or Private tab under your profile card. Can’t see it? Type part of its name into the search box next to the tabs. It searches every character you own.
Open the character and tap Chat.

After your first message, the character shows in All Conversations (the speech bubble icon), so you can jump straight back in next time.

Testing your own character

Start fresh with New Chat in the chat options whenever you change the character, so you test the new version.
Check triggers and indicators with the Test Log in the chat menu, next to Edit. Only you can see it, and only on characters you made.
Edit straight from the chat with the Edit tile. Changes to a public character go live immediately.
Free members: if your characters were chatted with by 20 or more different people in the last 30 days, chatting with your own characters does not count towards your daily messages.
