What Are Snapshots on RolePlaya?

The short answer: RolePlaya has two ways to make pictures of characters. The image generator, from the Snapshots tab or tile, makes new images of a character in the style you choose, with free clicks every day. The camera button in a chat captures the exact moment you are in as an image or a short video. Creators can also sell their images to other members as Snapshots on the marketplace.

The image generator

Open Snapshots from the chat options or the Snapshots tab on a character’s profile. Choose a style, describe what you want, for example “confident office portrait, warm lighting, subtle smile”, and tap Generate. Open any image full screen to save it, set it as your character’s avatar if you made the character, or list it for sale.

Plan	Free clicks a day	Images per click
Free	2	2
Bit of a Playa	3	3
Total Playa	4	4

After your free clicks you can keep going with Playa Points. The cost shows before you generate.

The camera: capture this moment

Tap the camera on the message bar and RolePlaya turns the scene you are in right now into a picture, or a five second video. If your Playa has an avatar, you appear in it too. An image costs 650 Playa Points. A video costs 400 the first time and 800 after that, paid with purchased Playa Points, up to five a day. The price always shows before you buy.

Selling and buying Snapshots

Sell: on an image you made, tap Add to Marketplace and set a price in Playa Points. You earn Playa Points every time someone buys it, and you keep your copy.
Buy: open the Snapshots tab on a character’s profile. Snapshots you already own are hidden, so you never buy one twice. Purchases go to My Snapshot Collection.

All images on RolePlaya follow the same rule as everything else: no nudity or pornography, and nothing involving minors.
