How Do I Use Playa Reputation on RolePlaya?

Captain, founder of RolePlaya

The short answer: Playa Reputation lets the big moments of your stories spread as rumours, so characters you have never met may already have heard of you. Turn it on by editing your Playa in the Playa Manager and ticking Reputation. Each Playa has its own reputation, and you can hide any rumour you do not want spreading. It is a Bit of a Playa and Total Playa feature.

How to turn it on

  1. Open the Playa Manager, or edit a Playa from My Playa in a chat.
  2. Tick Reputation and save.

It is off by default, so nothing spreads unless you choose it.

What spreads

Seeing and hiding your rumours

Every Playa card in the Playa Manager has a Reputation button. It opens your rumour ledger: what has spread and which character it started with. Tap the eye icon to hide a rumour, and characters never mention it again.

One reputation per Playa

Reputation belongs to each Playa, not your account. What your villain did never follows your romantic lead. If it is on but nothing has spread yet, your stories have not had a big enough moment. Keep playing, word travels. Characters in the same World also hear about each other’s time with you, as explained in the Worlds guide.
