What Is Spotlight on RolePlaya?

The short answer: Spotlight is a page on RolePlaya that features hand-picked characters, with the week’s top creators shown at the top. Total Playa members, the top twenty creators on the weekly leaderboard and the Rising Creators winners each get one free spotlight a day to put one of their public characters on it.

What you see on the Spotlight page

Featured Creators at the top: the three highest ranked creators from this week’s leaderboard.
Spotlighted characters below, with search, filters and sorting. Find characters by name or tag, filter by gender, and sort by most followed, most chatted or newest.

It is one of the best places to find well made characters, because creators spotlight the ones they are proudest of.

Who can spotlight a character

Total Playa members, for as long as they are subscribed.
The top twenty creators on the weekly Top Creators leaderboard, while they stay in the top twenty.
The three Rising Creators winners, for the week they won.

Access is checked every Monday when the leaderboard closes. Drop out and the spotlight comes off your character, and you can win it back the following week.

How to spotlight your character

Open the public character you want to feature.
Tap the lightning bolt to open the boost panel.
Tap Spotlight at the top.

The character stays on the Spotlight page until you move your spotlight to another character. You get one free spotlight a day and can pick a different character each day. The button shows “Used today” until it resets, and “Spotlighted” on the character currently featured. Private characters cannot be spotlighted.
